Job description

Job Title: Security Consultant
Responsible to: Operations Director
Hours of Work: Full Time (Flexible)
Salary: Starting at £45,000 - £60,000 (depending on experience)
Location: National (Home-based, with UK-wide travel and one monthly office day)
Closing Date for CVs: Friday 31st December 2025

Summary of Main Responsibilities

Acting as the designated security adviser for allocated clients

Producing clear, high-quality written reports

Building and maintaining strong client relationships

Responding to ad-hoc security and counter-terrorism queries

Conducting security audits, inspections, and vulnerability assessments

Completing security and response plans for clients

Developing business continuity plans

Advising clients on threat, risk, and protective security issues

Using and supporting the Blue Lemon Software

Preparing and delivering reports to boards and senior leadership teams

Attending security, resilience, or Protect Duty committee meetings

Supporting project work, including security strategy and emergency planning

General administrative duties as required

Supporting business development and promoting services

Meeting agreed KPIs relating to quality and client satisfaction

Carrying out any other duties as required by the organisation

Criteria Essential / Desirable
➢Experience

o Background in security, public safety, counter-terrorism, or related operational roles
o Experience within theatres, events, entertainment, or public-facing venues (Desirable)
o Genuine commitment to the security profession
o Understanding of protective security principles and their practical application
o Strong communication and interpersonal skills
o High-quality report writing experience
o Ability to work independently and proactively

o Able to deliver work to deadlines and meet KPIs
o Excellent communication across diverse stakeholder groups
o Good IT skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
o Strong presentation skills
o Confidence engaging senior leaders and providing clear advice
A collaborative approach as part of a wider team

Essential
➢Qualifications 

o Recognised security qualification (Level 3 or above)

o Holding or willing to work towards Chartered Security Professional (CSyP) status
IT qualifications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) (desirable)
