About RB Health and Safety Solutions

Here at RB Health and Safety Solutions Limited, we have been providing individuals, companies and local authorities with high-quality health and safety advice and training since 2003. Not only do we take great pride in delivering clear and robust services to all our customers, but we’re committed to ensuring the highest standards for all our team members too.

More information about our antigen tests

By joining our team as a nurse, you’ll be tasked with carrying out nasal swab tests at our customers’ workplaces. We use the rapid SARS-CoV-2 Rapid Antigen Test which detects specific antigens of SARS-CoV-2 present in the nasopharynx (the upper respiratory tract).

Designed to identify current infection during the acute phase of COVID-19, employers will be provided with real-time results, allowing them to alter their working practices accordingly and update their COVID-19 risk assessment to keep all staff members safe.

What you'll be required to do during testing

Step 1: Ask the individual to confirm their identity and check that they don't have any coronavirus symptoms.

Step 2: Discuss their medical history, including any recent surgery or trauma. Those who suffer from epistaxis (bleeding from the nose) or have a deviated septum may need to undergo a different type of screening process.

Step 3: Gain consent from the individual (signature) and ask them to choose their preferred nostril for the swab.

Step 4: Insert the sterile nasopharyngeal swab into the nostril until you reach the surface of the posterior nasopharynx. Rotate the swab before carefully removing it.

Step 5: Mix the swab with an extraction buffer solution. Three drops should be applied to the testing device via the specimen well.

Step 6: Wait 15-30 minutes and explain the results.

Important points to note

Applicants should be in good general health and not classified as 'high risk'. You'll also need to have a compassionate, warm and approachable nature with the ability to work with understanding, tact and patience. Although not essential, previous experience with similar testing methods is desirable.

We're more than happy to discuss the role or our recruitment process in more detail, so don't hesitate to contact us today at RB Health and Safety Solutions.
