AED (Automated External Defibrillator)

The course gives candidates clear and concise instruction on the use of AED’s when a casualty suffers a cardiac arrest. This training can lead to prompt action for the casualty raising the chance of survival from 5% to 80%. This can also be run as a combined course with Basic Life Support (BLS) for a duration of 4 hours. Please contact the office for additional information and costs.

Who should attend?

This is an invaluable addition to any First Aider's knowledge base. Those who should attend include even those with no other formal First Aid training.

What will they learn?

The successful candidate will learn how to recognise a cardiac arrest, how to adminster basic CPR (Cardio-pulmonary resuscitation), and the use of a portable Automated External Defibrillator.
