Fire Risk Assessment - (Regulatory Reform Order)

A Fire Risk Assessment is an organised and methodical look at your premises, the activities carried out there and the likelihood that a fire could start and cause harm

Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005
This legislation came into force in October 2006 throughout England and Wales. The legislation replaces most existing Fire Safety Legislation and means that Fire Certificates are no longer issued and have no Legal Status. The main impact for you is that Fire Risk Assessments are now mandatory and are being inspected by the enforcing authority (the fire brigade).

These assessments are required to be in-depth documents and are required for premises such as:

  • Shops and Offices
  • Hotels and other Sleeping Accommodation
  • Residential Care Premises
  • Education Premises
  • Small and Medium Places of Assembly
  • Large Places of Assembly
  • Theatres and Cinemas
  • Outdoor Events
  • Healthcare Premises
  • Transport Premises and facilities

What do RB Health and Safety Solutions offer?

We have a number of Fire Safety Risk Assessors with many of whom have practical experience as enforcement officers. We can provide you with a fully comprehensive Risk Assessment (Approx 30 pages) for your premises. This document will have a clear list of recommendations which are prioritised, will be clear and logical and use photos to identify the premises clearly.

Be aware of Consultants who offer basic tick box risk assessments at low prices, these will not pass a Fire Safety Inspection from the Fire Brigade Enforcement Officers and can cost you dearly in the long run.

The following will be the format of the Fire Risk Assessment to ensure compliant with the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005
