This course complies with the HSE requirements and updates detailed in Oct 2009. Candidates on this course will achieve a good insight into basic first aid and how to manage an emergency situation until help arrives. EFAW is ideal for small workplaces that present minor risks or to maintain the skills of those who hold the full first aid at work certificate. All candidates will be awarded the Emergency First Aid at Work Certificate.
Who Should Attend?
The first aid training course is suitable for anyone who is nominated as a first-aider in a small business or as support for a fully qualified First Aid at Work certificate holder.
What Will They Learn?
A basic insight into dealing with a first aid situation in the workplace and the relevant regulations associated with it.
Course Content:
- Role of the first-aider;
- Assess the situation and circumstances in order to act safely, promptly and effectively in an emergency;
- Dealing with an unconscious casualty;
- How to administer cardiopulmonary resuscitation;
- Dealing with a casualty who is choking;
- Wounds and bleeding;
- Treatment of shock;
- Minor injuries
Certificate:
- All Candidates receive an RB Health and Safety Solutions Certificate valid for 3 years on successful completion of the course.
