First Aid at Work

The First Aid Training at Work (statutory) course complies with the current Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981. Successful students receive an accredited certificate by the First Aid Industry Body (FAIB) which is valid for 3 years. All employers have a legal duty to make First Aid provisions within their workplace, and this course will ensure you meet that duty.  The course will take place at your premises for upto 12 people and will be tailored to suit the needs of your business.

Who should attend?

First Aid courses of this type are suitable and sufficient for anybody who has been nominated as a First Aider at Work.

What will they learn?

The knowledge and skills to confidently and competently deal with any first aid situation in the workplace and a deep insight into the principles and practices of First Aid and the relevant regulations.

Pre-requisites

Our courses offer a practical, hands-on approach that delivers the skills and confidence to use first aid skills in a real life situation. Learners must:

  • be physically able to carry out the practical element of the course
  • attend all sessions to be eligible for assessment.

  • Dealing with accidents and illness
  • Treatment of an unconscious patient
  • Burns and scalds
  • Control of bleeding
  • Resuscitation
  • Treatment of shock
  • Fractures
  • Poisoning
  • Preparing for the arrival of the emergency services

Certificate

All participants will obtain a certificate accredited by the First Aid Industry Body (FAIB) in First Aid at Work which is valid for 3 years and awarded on successful completion of the course.
